I have a old Milo Duplex Dumbbell I'm not sure about the age. It has Sept. 23 19 X cast on the collars. Any ideas?

TK, Your dumbell was patented in 1916 and the patent date should be on the globes, not the collars as you indicated. museummuscle

I have never seen a date on the collars or the globes of a Milo Duplex, only "MILO DUPLEX PAT APP'D FOR" on the globes. The Triplex Globes have " MILO TRIPLEX PAT'D Dec 29, 1908" on them. I would love to see a photo of those collars

We know the introduction of the Duplex was 1916 because of MILO literature, this is not cast on the globes as I had incorrectly indicated ;D(I finally went in and took a look...can't rely on memory at my age!) It was marketed before patent was granted in 1919.
Would like to see those collars with the patent date...please post a photo, I've never seen marking on the collars...and I have three Duplexes in the museum.
