Old Standard Plates

I'm looking for information on some old looking olympic weights I have found. They are deep dish and cast BEN OLYMPIC STANDARD on them. Any ideas??? I also got some INTERNATIONAL olympic plates that are cast like standard plates.

My buddy Jim said he got some of those around 20 years ago, and thinks they are Chinese made plates...

Hmmm, I'm a bit surprised as they look very simular to the older deep style Yorks. I wonder who BEN is??? thanks for the info!

The wide flanges make the plates easier to grip and safer to handle.

The plates are made of high-density spun steel, not the cheaper cast-steel sets from China.
(Plates made of cast-steel will crack or chip if dropped.)

As you can see from the picture, everything is in very good shape.
